Quartz

Quartz it is one of the most well renowned minerals on earth. It occurs in all minerals environments; it is the most important component of many rocks. Quartz is also occurring in all different forms, colors and habits. There is more varieties name given to quartz in compare to any other mineral. Although the Feldspars as a group are more accepted then quartz, as an individual mineral quartz is the most common mineral.

Quartz is very useful mineral. Quartz comes in use in many ways such as gemstone. Study of optics, cutting soft stones, grinding glass, production of silica, foundry material, cement etc.

Some forms of Quartz, especially the gemstone forms, have their color build up. Almost all of the yellow-Brown variety is in fact heat treated. There is also transparent sky blue form of Quartz crystals, as well as a wildly many colored type that are synthetically colored by enhancement of gold. In some areas Hematite forms a thin red or brown layer internally in the Quartz crystal, giving it a natural bright red to brown coloring, and sometimes even a mild natural interference.

Quartz frequently forms the inner lining of nodularstones often lined with crystals. Most nodular stones have an inner layer oflarger crystalline Quartz, and an outer layer of banded Agate.

5. Milky Quartz: - basically is type ofsoft gemstone. It has very attractive crystal formation. it is type ofcrystalline quartz. It resists weathering, this type of quartz obtained fromgeodes and granites. It consists of silicon oxygen. Quartz is also an importantcomponent of granite and other felsic rocks.
