Silica


                                            Silica

Silicon dioxide (sio2) or silica is an oxide of silicon. It is known for its hardness, it in generally found in   nature in the form of quartz and the sand. It is formed or processed in too many forms like fused quartz, crystals, gel and the colloidal silica. It is a refractory substance that is used in the manufacture of glass, ceramics and abrasives like things. In other words we can also say that it is a white or colorless crystalline compound, having large quantity of the quartz, sand, agate and the flint with many other minerals as well, that are widely used in the manufacturing of glass, glass materials, concrete and so on.

Silica can be stated in several kinds including fused quartz, crystal, fumed silica, colloidal silica, silica serum, and aerogel. Silica is needed mainly within the generation associated with wine glass to make windows, drinking glasses, cocktail containers, and several some other utilizes. Nearly all optical fibers with regard to telecommunications may also be produced from silica. This can be a major organic substance for most white ware ceramics for instance earthenware, stoneware, porcelain, and also Portland cement that is so famous for its extraordinary qualities.  It is a common added substance in the eatables. It is like important for the body to have it in a balanced way. In facts the very minor or less amount is enough for the body over a period of time. Since it is a mineral so our body needs it too.  It exists in the soil, plants and water as well, it has the quality to relieve in the arthritis or joint problems, it’s a very fine supplement for the hairs, nails and the skin, it acts as a hormone, actually it stoke the human body to create the collagens.  It also fulfills the deficiency of aluminum in the body.  As silica is an boosting material for the bones, so it also beneficial for the teeth, backbone and bones.  And with the deficiency of this essential mineral the body of an individual may cause problems like the decaying and degrading of the teeth and weakness in the bones. Even the blood vessel may cloat with the deficiency of the silica. Issues with back bone may also come to light.
